Procedure Overview
Consultation: The journey begins with a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. During this appointment,
the surgeon evaluates the patient's medical history, assesses their aesthetic goals, and discusses the treatment plan,
including the areas to be treated and the expected outcomes.
Anesthesia: Liposuction is usually performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation to ensure
the patient's comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Incision and Fat Removal: Small incisions are made in the targeted areas, and a thin, hollow tube called a cannula
is inserted through these incisions. The cannula is used to suction out excess fat deposits, sculpting the desired contours
and silhouette.
Contouring and Symmetry: The surgeon carefully maneuvers the cannula to contour and shape the treated areas, ensuring
smooth and natural-looking results. Special attention is paid to achieving symmetry and balance for harmonious body proportions.
Closure and Recovery: Once the desired fat removal is achieved, the incisions are closed with sutures or surgical
tape, and compression garments may be applied to support the healing process. Patients are provided with post-operative
instructions and medications to manage discomfort and reduce the risk of complications.
